The Azerbaijani-American Council of California (AACC) announces the First
Annual Azerbaijani-American Youth Forum to be held on Saturday, October
21st, in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The event will be held in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic
of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, U.S.-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (USACC),
and the Azerbaijan Society of America. To attend the forum and/or present a topic,

FORUM OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Youth Forum are to organize Azerbaijani youth in the United
States for: • strengthening of Azerbaijani grass-roots through youth involvement; •
establishing closer ties between North and South Azerbaijani youth; • promoting
vital interests of the Republic of Azerbaijan; • preserving and promoting
Azerbaijani cultural heritage in the U.S.; • facilitating educational exchanges
between the U.S. and Azerbaijan; • presenting Azerbaijani positions in the U.S.
media and press.

FORUM REGISTRATION & RULES

There is no charge for attending the Youth Forum, but you must RSVP in order to
attend any part of this event. Upon receiving RSVPs, a special invitation card will
be sent to you from the AACC, with the location information, updates and other
event details. The formal invitation will also serve as your admission. The official
language of the Youth Forum is English. A limited usage of Azerbaijani or Turkish
for discussions is permitted. No other languages are permitted to be used for
discussions or presentations during this event. The academic part of the Forum
starts with introduction from the moderator, followed by four panels, as outlined in
the Forum Program below. Each panel starts with a 15-minute presentation from
the panel chair, followed by discussions and presentations. Forum attendees are
encouraged to prepare presentations in any format, including but not limited to
PowerPoint presentations, and participate in discussions within the topics of the
Forum Program provided below. The academic part ends with invited speeches
and conclusion by the moderator. Lunch and dinner will be provided, along with
music and entertainment program at the end of the Forum. The general
attendance is available by RSVP only to all Azerbaijani- and Turkish-American
youth and their guests.
