1981 senesi Ocak ayinda New Jersey’de kurulan Istanbul Spor Kultur ve
Egitim Merkezi, ayni sene Turk Amerikan Dernekleri Federasyonu'na
uye olmustur ve cesitli faaliyetlerle Federasyonun en onemli kollarindan
biri olmustur. 26 yil boyunca hicbir kurum veya kisiye direkt olarak bagli
olmaksizin faaliyet gosteren Istanbul Spor New Jersey ve cevresinde
yasayan Turkleri bircok alanda basari ile temsil etmektedir. Istanbul Spor
sadece spor amacli olmayip sosyal konularda da oldukca aktif bir topluluktur.
Faaliyetlerine ilk basta, agirlikli olarak futbol ile baslayan Istanbul Spor, New Jersey
Garden State liglerinde 4 lig sampiyonlugu, ve bir kupa sampiyonlugu kazandi.
Bolgenin en onemli Turk etkinliklerinden olan ve artik geleneksel hale getirilen 30
Agustos Zafer Turnuvalarinda da buyuk basarilara imza atmistir.

The following guidelines reflect in general terms, the rules of competition for the
2006 Tournament.
These guidelines are expected to be adhered to by all participants and
spectators alike.
1. No alcoholic beverages OF ANY KIND.
2. All qualification games are 40 minutes long (twice 20:00). Semifinals and Final
are 40 minutes long (twice 20:00). In case of tied score at the end of the semifinals
or of the final penalty kicks will be taken: NO OVERTIMES.
3. Top team in each group shall advance to the Semifinals.
4. Qualification round standings are determined as follows:
a) Most points
b) Head to head result (if involving two teams)
c) Best Goal Difference
d) Most Goal in favor
e) Penalties if necessary
5. Qualification round games, shall be awarded the following:
a) 3 points for a win
b) 1 point for a tie
c) 0 points for a loss
6. Each team shall play with a minimum of 7 players, one of which will be a
goalkeeper. Team having less than 7 players at the time of the scheduled kickoff,
shall forfeit the game.
7. Substitutions may be made at any time (with consent of the referee) but only
AFTER the player being substituted has left the field.
8. Ejected players MUST sit out the next full game of the team for which he was
playing.
9. Schedule must be respected: teams must be ready 15 minutes before game
time; lateness or no-show calls for forfeit score of 3-0.
10. No protest or appeals are allowed.
11. The Tournament Committee has right to group teams, to suspend any team
from further participation for gross misbehavior and to make judgement decisions
for matters or rules not covered.
12. Teams from outside of New Jersey MUST get permission to travel from their
state's soccer association. This permission must be attached to the application
and the tournament fee. Teams without permission will be rejected.
Competition Format
. Teams will be divided into four groups of 4 teams each.
. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.
. Each team must present a roster of 18 players for the duration of the tournament.
. A player can only play for one team during the whole tournament.
. Each game shall last 2 times 20 minutes.
. The top finishing teams out of the four groups will advance to the semifinals.
. In case of tied score at end of the semifinals or finals, penalty kicks will be taken
to determine a winner (NO OVERTIME).
. During the qualification round, standings will be kept as follows:
3 points for a win
1 point for a tied game
0 points for a loss
. Standings will be kept according to the following criteria:
1. Most points
2. Head to head competition (only if two teams involved)
3. Best goals difference
4. Most goals in favor
5. Penalties
. Players ejected (red card) must sit out the next full game.
. The organizing committee reserves the right to make all necessary changes to
achieve a successfull tournament.
