Dance & Music Performances

Turkish culture has a rich history of folkloric dance and music. You can see various
performances from the diverse regions of Turkey during the Festival

Exhibitors & Vendors

The goal of the Turkish Festival is to present a wide variety of Turkish arts and
handcrafts, goods, and information about Turkey to non-Turkish audiences.
Secondly, we hope to encourage support of Turkish-owned businesses and
encourage further education and travel to Turkey. As such, priority is given to
vendors in the categories below.
Turkish Goods and Arts & Crafts

Arts & Crafts vendors must sell items that are of Turkish origin. Examples include:
culinary goods, ebru art, rugs & kilims, pottery, jewelry, and textiles.

The early registration deadline for Arts & Crafts vendors is July 15th. A late fee will
be charged after that date. All applications are due by August 1st

All vendors in this category must pay DC Sales Tax on the items sold during the
Turkish Festival. As such, ATA-DC will report Tax ID numbers to the DC Tax/Special
Events Department prior to the Festival.

Food

You can taste mouth-watering Turkish cuisine from DC’s finest Turkish restaurants
at the Festival. Previous participants have included: Atilla’s, Bistro Med, Café Divan,
MEZE, and Tabaq Bistro. Come enjoy sweet and savory pastries, baklava, sesame
rings, doner kabob, stuffed grape leaves and much more.

Fortune Telling

The Festival will feature a Tea & Coffee house with traditional Turkish tea and
coffee.
Fortune tellers will be on hand to read your fortune from the shapes the coffee
grinds have formed in your coffee demitasse cup.

TurKIDS

The TurKIDS activity tent includes fun-filled, hands-on activities for kids ages 4 to
10.
