| M.Selim Unlu, Boston University M.Selim Unlu is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Physics at Boston University. He received the B.S degree in electrical engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara in 1986, and the MSEE and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign in 1988 and 1992 respectively. His research areas are research and development of photonic materials, devices and systems focusing on the design, processing and characterisation of semiconductor optoelectronic materials and devices as well as high resolution imaging and sensing biological materials. |

| Ahmet Yildiz, University of California Ahmet Yildiz is a postdoctoral fellow at University of California San Francisco. He received his BS degree in Physics from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2001 and started his graduate studies in biophysics at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. He worked in the research group of Paul R. Selvin where he develop the techinique of Fluorescence Imaging with One Nanometer Accuracy (FIONA). Dr Yildiz received his PhD in 2004. His thesis was granted the Young Scientist Award by AAAS. |
