MALZEME MUHENDISLIGI
Metalurji ve malzeme muhendisligi temel anlamiyla malzemelerin ic yapisi,
ozellikleri, performansi ve uygulamalarini iceren cok genis bir bilim dalidir.  
Malzemeler yapilari dolayisiyla metaller, seramikler, polimerler, kompozitler, yari
iletkenler, nanomalzemeler ve bio malzemeler olmak uzere gruplandirilabilir.
Bir ucagin nasil daha hafif ve guclu ayni zamanda tam verimle calismasi
gerektigini arastirmak, veya daha hizli, daha kucuk bilgisayarlar ve kominikasyon
cihazlari olusturmak, insan vucuduna  birebir uyumlu degistirilebilen malzeme
uretmek metalurji muhendislerinin islerinden birkacidir.

Her turlu malzeme uretimi yapan veya kalite-kontrol bolumu bulunan fabrikada
veya sirketlerde is bulunabilir. Baslica is olanaklari olarak dokum sanayi,
demir-celik endustrisi, demir-disi metaller uretimi yapan fabrikalar,  otomotiv ve
otomotiv yan sanayi, ucak ve gemi imalat sanayi, seramik ve cam sanayi, plastik
